Commercial orders opened on August 12, with households able to place deposits through the company’s Vietnam website. The basic residential plan is priced at 1.13 million dong, or approximately $43, per month, with the Starlink Mini terminal listed separately at $329 and the larger Standard 4X kit at $390. Business customers face a higher entry point, with monthly plans starting around 1.48 million dong and data packages scaling up to roughly $474 for 2TB of usage.
Officials have signaled that pricing will remain under scrutiny. At an earlier briefing, the Ministry’s Telecommunications Department noted that Starlink must comply with domestic price management and competition rules on the same basis as local network operators, and that regulators would monitor the service closely given that satellite pricing runs several times higher than mainstream fiber packages in Vietnam. The government has framed Starlink as a complement to, rather than a competitor with, existing fixed-line and mobile broadband providers, positioning the service primarily for rural, mountainous and other hard-to-reach areas where conventional infrastructure build-out is costly.
The Vietnam launch extends a broader regional rollout for Starlink, which is now active in six Southeast Asian markets.
