TNG Digital Sdn Bhd has introduced global share trading on its TNG e-wallet platform through a partnership with digital investment and trading platform Webull Malaysia. Users can trade across the US, Hong Kong and China A-share markets through GOfinance. The service was announced in Petaling Jaya on 30 September 2026.

How The Service Works

Both existing and new TNG e-wallet users can open a Webull Malaysia trading account digitally via GOfinance and fund it directly from their e-wallet balance. Account opening is subject to eligibility and account approval. Inside the app, users can also access market information, educational resources and charting tools for their own research and analysis.

For eligible US stocks, users can buy fractional shares of high-priced stocks from as little as US$1 (RM4.08). They can also use a 24-hour weekday trading function that allows trades outside regular US market hours.

Kenneth Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Webull Malaysia, said the partnership was meant to make global markets more accessible to first-time investors. He said global markets have been out of reach for too many first-time investors. Chan added that GOfinance users do not need to download a separate app, and that they can trade US stocks and ETFs with zero commission and no platform fee.

Desmond Teoh, Chief Financial Services Officer at TNG Digital, said the partnership combines the e-wallet’s reach with Webull Malaysia’s specialist expertise. He said it would help the company support a wider range of financial needs beyond payments.

Launch Terms And Platform Scale

To mark the launch, eligible new users who access Webull Malaysia through GOfinance will receive RM30 worth of Apple Inc. fractional shares. To qualify, users must deposit at least RM200 into their trading account and keep the deposit there for at least 30 days, subject to the campaign’s terms and conditions.

As of August 2026, GOfinance had 8.5 million users. More than four million of them transacted each month, and 46% held more than one financial services product on the platform.

Cryptocurrency Under Consideration

Asked whether cryptocurrency could be added as an investment option in the TNG e-wallet app, Chan said Webull Malaysia is looking into it. He noted that the Securities Commission of Malaysia allowed stockbrokers to offer crypto as an investment option earlier this year. No timeline or product details were disclosed.

Publicly available information on trading fees for Hong Kong and China A-share transactions, and on the specific account approval criteria, remains limited.
