IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Kimpton Phang-Nga Natai Beach, a new-build beachfront resort under development by Natai Venture Co Ltd. The 150-key property, comprising rooms, suites and villas, is scheduled to open in 2028 and will introduce the Kimpton brand to Phang Nga, a coastal destination that IHG describes as an emerging market in southern Thailand.
The resort will sit on Natai Beach, roughly a 30-minute commute from Phuket International Airport, and will feature all-day restaurants, beach and lobby bars, a spa, swimming pools, a fitness centre, a kids’ club and function spaces. It becomes the second IHG resort signed in Phang Nga, following the earlier InterContinental Phang Nga Bay Resort, deepening the group’s presence in the area.
The signing forms part of a broader Kimpton pipeline in Thailand that already includes properties planned for Bangkok, Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, Khao Yai and Pattaya. IHG said it currently operates 42 hotels across 11 brands nationwide, with a further 39 properties in the pipeline, as the group continues to introduce new brands and stay concepts across the country.
Long-term connectivity to the area is expected to improve with the planned Andaman International Airport in Phang Nga, which IHG noted is scheduled to open in 2032 and is expected to support the region’s growth as a travel destination.
